This is not 100% related to this thread but as a assistant Admin in a migration situation of our own from 4.1 to 5.0x I would like to see if I can get pointed in right direction.

Just wanted to test out DM6, I loaded 5.0.0.975 OS from verizon website to my work laptop, ran it, plugged BB in, then opened DM6 and it upgraded fine, installed new OS, pretty slick.

Welcome........Yeah there is no quick fix, I suppose though if you download desktop manager 6 you could reload OS yourself?

You will need to reload the OS, if you take to the local carrier they should be able to reload and then reactivate, I see those a lot from my users when they pull battery when they wipe the device...

Depends on the device the security wipe could be in different places such as Jsanders said above, I've seen under password and hit menu button to left of trackball too.

The device should be wiped, Options>Security Options>Security Wipe............Then the Phone number/account needs activated under you so not to associate with other user, at least how I do our or BES...

I'm testing Desktop Manager 6.0 tonight tethering as I seem to be working with all the time, they say the new DM6.0 can tether with any BB no matter who carrier is, give it a shot.
