the wap.voicestream.com is the wireless APN, which just hands out IPs and a route to wirless devices. not related to your SMTP server. Use the smtp server you normally do.

Its hiding in the tools menu, and only is non-greyed out when the device has properly connected to PocketMac (ie the PIN shows up in the 1st pane), oh and it has to be an .alx file

I believe the BlackBerry security model only allows you to transfer files to mass storage (your SD media card) via USB and only after you have authenticated on the device side.
