Embedded maps generate thousands of views per day on some sites, and updating them every few seconds like we do for logged-in users would be too expensive.

Not sure what that error means. I have a 8130 from Sprint and it works fine out of the box. It's a wild guess, but can "verification error" mean that your phone does not allow 3rd party apps...
