Can'f figure out how to add contacts into groups in address book

Sorry for the dumb newbie question but I'd like to set up a few groups in my bb 7130e's address book. I choose to add a new group, but when I attempt to add members to the group, there is no option to accept them into that group. I searched and apparently there should be a continue option that comes up when you add new members, but it doesn't appear on my pop up menu when I push in the trackball to do it.

Help!

While reviewing how to do this so I could answer your question, I just noticed the same thing on my 8700c with Telstra 4.1.309. I know I had this set up on my 7100g long ago but not sure what software I was using at the time.

I would say it's an error in the OS. What OS are you using?

What is the provider name on that version?

Actually its 4.1.0.268 from Verizon Wireless

hmm interesting. Is that the OS that came standard? Or do you have a Cingular 7130 with the Verizon OS?

I know it's gotta be a software bug because when I added the members to a group before there was an option to 'add'. Not sure what else to tell you, maybe try loading a different OS (only if your familiar with the process) or doing a fresh install and see if that fixes the problem.

Its a verizon phone with verizon service.

Here's what I'm doing:
Open address book
Select New Group from menu - New Group: *no addresses* appears
Choose Add Member from menu
Highlight a name in my address book, bring up menu, and the choices are:

PocketDay
Berry411..

Filter
New Address

None of the options listed appear to give me the ability to save a contact to the group and I can't save the group without any contacts in the group.

What happens if you hit Enter after highlighting the name?

I think I just figured it out.

I wasn't able to add contacts to a new group because the ones I was choosing did not have email addresses in the records. Groups must be a feature to assemble multiple contacts for sending broadcast messages to.

Now, I guess I'm looking at creating categories. Perhaps that is more general. All I want to do is put contacts in broad buckets like prospects, customers, employees, family.

Oh boy. I am sorry. For some reason I just assumed you were trying to add people with email addresses. Then when I tried it on my BB I didn't pick any names with email addresses either.

Again my apologies.
