Browsing issues on handhelds

Hi Guys,

Can i please ask for some advice, i may be doing something wrong but need guidance.

Our network is basic.

Default bes install and all is working.

BUT browsing the internet from any of the new Torch mobiles is SLOW.

are / is there any settings that need to be changed on the BES server to speed up browsing.

Thanks

Re: Browsing issues on handhelds

Are you forcing them to browse through MDS or can they browse through the T-Mobile network directly? Also have you checked browsing through WiFi? Is it slow as well?

You can check the MDAT log. You can see the URLs that people are surfing to there, if MDS is used.

Re: Browsing issues on handhelds

great idea, i have now confirmed that i am browsing slow via my blackberry server, i done this be deleting the contents of the log file. then open up the internet on my blackberry and then i re-open the log file and its full of text.

So next test would be to turn this off on the BES server, is anyone able to help me with this?

Thanks to all so far
