Reversed e-mail shortcuts
Hi, all. I recently moved to a Torch from a Bold 9700. I noticed today that the 'n' and 'p' keys seem to be doing the reverse of what I expect from them when looking at an e-mail.
Normally, if I had the following 3 e-mails: 1. Bob sent at 11:00a 2. Mike sent at 10:30a 3. Rich sent at 10:00a And if I was looking at Mike's message and then hit the 'n' key, I'd expect to be taken to Bob's message, since it's the more recent message. But on my Torch, I get Rich's message because as you count down the list, message #3 is next and message #1 is previous. I confirmed with a colleague who has a Bold 9000 that indeed, he sees Bob's message in the scenario above. And I've had someone from another forum with a Storm confirm that he gets Rich's message in the scenario above. What that tells me so far is that OS5/6 treats the 'n' and 'p' keys based on the number of the message, not the time. I'm very curious to hear from someone using a Bold 9700 with OS6 performing the above test. This would help identify if the problem is specifically an OS thing, or if it's a touchscreen vs. non-touchscreen thing. Can someone with a 9700 and OS6 do a quick test for me and report back? Thanks! |
