BES 5.1 MR2 custom IT Policy issues with Desktop manager 4.7
 

Hello All

Having very wierd problem with custom IT policy, this is a fresh install of BES 5.1 MR2, BES running on windows 2008 SP2 x64 standard, and exchange 2007 sp1

I copied the default IT policy, and made some changes to it, migrated users from BES 4.1 SP6 using transporter tool, assignt them my custom IT policy. everything works fine except that whenever user launch desktop manager 4.7 it carsh with error message "application error"

Faulting application desktopmgr.exe, version 4.7.0.37, faulting module oleaut32.dll, version 5.1.2600.3266, fault address 0x00004975.

tried uninstall , reinstall many times, new machine clean install, any revision of 4.7 cannot work

Desktop manager 5 works great,

I cannot have 900 users to update desktop manager 5 without testing with our machine image thats handled by another group, web desktop manager is another option but not now,

Any one else has seen this ? or have a clue what is causing this?

side note, we had issue where custom IT policy was corrupted and EA was failing, I created new custom IT policy and it fixed that issue, this time EA working file for migrated users or new users
