Media Card issue with upgraded OS for 8100
 

I have a 8100 Pearl, I upgrade to OS Ver 4.5.0.163, Desktop manager 5.0.1.37.

I've been trying to get my 2GB Micro SD card to work in this thing. I've tested it on my notebook, it can Now every time I try to open something on the Media Card the OS reboots its self.

I'm very frustrated with this thing as I would like to get the Mass Storage support working too, but can't if there is no card in.

Anyone have ideas?

First thing I would try is delete all the .dat files. You may see them as .dat.rem if you have encrytion enabled. If you can't enable mass storage mode, you'll need to remove the card and use a card reader. Look in all folders.

If deleting the .dat files doesn't do it, then next thing I'd try is copying all the files off the card, format the card, test the card in the blackberry, then copy files over to the card a few at a time and test.

I 2nd the suggestion of formatting the card and moving files over one folder at a time. This was a common problem when updating from 4.2 to 4.5
