Google's target marketing

Is it just me or is everyone else who is visiting this forum getting adds on the left hand side for Wholesale B1ackberry phones for $89 bucks?

I think it is strange that Google would impose a fake product on a site that provides support for a genuine product!

This site has ads? Oh that's right, I use Adblocker, non issue for me.

I sees them too under the Sponsored Links section. Someone has a weird and bizzare sense of humor. Oh the other hand I guess the cash helps keep the forum in business so the worst is that I ignore the ads.

I didn't know this site has any ads. I'm on a Mac using Firefox & Safari without add-ons. I see a very clean fast loading page & that's another reason for me to continue reading more.
I appreciate all that has been posted.

I don't see the Google ads, they are blocked by my firewall or something.

But Google ads are based on page content - contextually relevant ads. If you have a web page about dieting, Google will display ads about diet products & nutrition, for example. The ads are displayed based on an algorithm of some kind, they are not chosen by humans.

Run for the hills, robots have taken over the advertising department. Run Away, Run Away!

I went to a Jillian Michaels website once, and all I got when I came to this site was Jillian Michaels ads. They stopped after about a month. Google has the low down on us.

I like the fake BlackBerry ads too, I always thought those were funny.

Totally agree!
