moving from p900 to 7100v - transferring contacts

Hello All,

I just got a new job and a new phone - switching from a p900 to a 7100v.

I have had no joy with transferring the contacts from my old phone to my new one.

I've tried bluetooth but I use a mac and the blackberry doesn't talk to that. I don't really want to spend the $30 for software - has anyone got any good tips?

Thanks
(y)

PocketMac is the option to sync via the Mac and a bargin at $29 FWIW. First you'll need to get your contacts into a .csv or .txt file and import into Entourage or Address Book could Be an option. Upon getting your contacts into you daily PIM you can then use PocketMac to sync to your 7100v

yes - i'd seen that software.

I don't plan on syncing to my mac more than once since I have a PC at work so don't really want to get the software but if that's the only way then I suppose I'll have to.

I was hoping that there would be an easy way rather than sending myself hundreds of SMS contacts.

If you're using a PC at work, then why not sync your contacts from the P900 to Outlook on your PC, then Outlook to your 7100v?

Of course, perhaps you no longer have the P900 and all your contacts are on the Mac (in the Address Book?). You could export the contacts from the Mac Address Book and then import them into Outlook on your PC (then sync your 7100 with the PC).

I personally use PocketMac (and as you did, went from a P910 to 7100v). If you bought your 7100 directly from Vodafone you may actually qualify for a free license to PocketMac (do a search for PocketMac on the vodafone site to get details).
