Which do you prefer the Pearl or the curve?
A good friend of mine recently gave me the pearl. After a few days of messing with it I really like it. I don’t like the keypad though and how it is set up. She also has a brand new Curve. She’s going to give it to me tomorrow. I was wondering what the differences are for features and which one do you like better and why?
Thanks |
I like the Bold 9000.

The curve is much better screen, better keyboard, better battery and memory. The curve hands down is my pick. I used to have the curve, my girlfriend, the pearl. Now I have the bold and she has the Huron. |
a friend of mine has the pearl and i have the curve
after using hers a couple of times i got the curve. i prefer the curves keypad and the size of the screen. Everytime she has me look at hers for help with it, it drives me crazy because of the keys.

Its a preference thing. My wife owns a pearl and I own a curve |
If you're a chick, use the pearl, if you're a guy, get the curve. The pearl is a chick phone.

I recieved these two phones brand new for free therefore I do not need info on a phone I do not have nor want. (Hence the title) If thats being narrow minded then ok I guess. lol Id prefer to stick to my origional question though.;-) |
I had a pearl and liked it a lot. I upgraded about 6 weeks ago to the curve 8900. like i said i liked my pearl but i love my curve it blows the pearl alway in every way.

The Verizon Curve has a lot more internally memory than the Pearl. Something to consider

Personally, I prefer the Curve but I can't stand SureType. YMMV. |
I've had experience using both. Really like the form factor of the Pearl though in the end I went with a Curve because it has a bigger screen, a QWERTY keyboard, and though bigger, I feel I can grip it better than the skinnier Pearl.

That's why I like the Pearl. Maybe it's the name that influenced your opinion. Maybe they could call it the Bruno, or the Sluggo. |
Oh, and typing on it is FAAAAAST. And one handed, so I can hold the bad guys at bay with my gun while I call CTU for backup.

and 3G speed! ;-)

There is a LOT more memory in the curve then the pearl I don't need to do a battery pull every day it i don't want to. I don't know what pearl you got but the one i have didn't have wifi the curve does. I like the key board better too because you just type what you want to type not what the BB suggest and if you don't check what you type you can make a lot of mistakes in emails or typing in web pages and i can still type with one hand. And i don't find the size to be that big of a deal. I have the 8900 and when its in my pocket I some times forget its there. the screen is bigger. The curve seams to be smoother and run better.

I have the pearl and curve and I like them both. I just both the curve monday and i'm loving it! plus it is alot easier to type on it... And if anybody needs a pearl i have one for sell lol

I've had a Pearl for a couple of years now, and love it. The big thing for me was form factor.. I prefer the smaller form factor of the Pearl. My wife on the other hand prefers the full qwerty keyboard of her curve... It really is a personal choice thing. You will find that the Pearl vs Curve debate is one that has gone on for sometime on this Forum. And there are zealots on both side.... So you see there is no right or wrong answer
The real answer is... "there is no spoon" :-) |
