Upgrade to 8350i?

It's pretty easy to see that people have a love em or hate relationship with their 8350i's. I am brand new to the blackberry world buying a new 7100i for under a hundred bucks. I am so in love with I am contemplating dropping a lot more on a 8350i. I really want wi-fi. And I miss my camera more than I ever thought I would. And the fact that i can't plug my phone into my camera and just move pictures around easily is a pain too. But call me easily impressed, but I'm still in love with it. So my question is..... Being that I am happy with my 7100i, is it worth it, right now, to get a 8350i? Thanks in advance, this forum is great!

I forgot to add that I had an i880 that got the best reception of any phone that I've ever had. I live in the mountains and that phone just got good reception. With the 7100i, awful in comparison. Anybody know how the 8350i compares to the 7100i in regards to reception.

The 8350i is slowing getting all the bugs worked out! Slowly I said!

But honestly, the device here in south central Florida has been working pretty good for me. Could it be better? I think so, but time will only help matters.

Phone works fine, direct connect radio works fine, e-mail works awesome like all Blackberry's, and last but not least, text messaging is getting much better than at launch! The new software update helped the texting issues quite a bit!

Just my 2-cents worth,

Matt

I think waiting a couple of months to let them work on some more of the bugs wouldn't be a bad idea. When mine works it's great, it just doesn't always work like it should. I have issues with texting, GPS, PPT, my address book sometimes loses numbers, calendar sync, and occasional lock-ups.
Again, just my opinion. But it seems like they released this before they should have.

I'd go for i unless you text a lot! I really do love mine except for the texting issue which the newest software update has NOT helped!

I had to switch to Nextel for this BB and the reception is the worst I've ever had. I can't even make a call in my office, I have to go out to the factory.

Let me respond to my own quote... since installing the latest update my phone has been working well. The only issue I still have is my GPS can't seem to find me.
So, yes upgrade. And make sure the newest OS is installed.

Hope I didn't scare you too much above
