exactly. =) fool proof plan.

Ok so i was reading an article stating here Telstra Announces BlackBerry Bold for Next G that telstra has officially announced 8/25 for the release to business for $0. soooo... i want one. someone sell me one.

Blackberryer 08-04-2008 01:24 PM

I don't really see why it's legitimate. They're charging $900 for a phone that they can't ship any earlier than anyone else. No way it's $900 without a contract upon release.

they're making a killing selling something before anyone else. its better than any other bold that's being sold on ebay. and since there's no set & garanteed price anywhere, there's nothing to compare it to. hell if i had the money, i'd do it. but since i'm like most other working class americans, i cant afford to throw it away when i'm positive an iphone competitor wont come out $400 more expensive without a contract. especially since tons of ppl didnt even go out and buy an iphone because they said it was too expensive.

I have to say I did something like this when the Curve came out and regretted it. There was an auction for the Curve, but the seller said they were in stock. I did a buy it now and it took FOREVER to get the phone. Came in a box with no docs, or anything. I think his shipment got delayed and that delayed mine.

I wouldn't do it again. I hate how people sell these on ebay with a shipping date long after the auction ends. By the time I got mine, they were in the stores AND I paid more....lesson learned.

I don't understand how they're selling it before anyone else when they're estimating up to 21 days for shipping. Sounds to me like it will begin shipping the same time as the carriers begin shipping it. If someone wants to pay for the luxury of seeing their name on a BlackBerry Bold order on August 4th, so be it.

I only say legitimate because it's an established seller and not some 10 feedback, 72.3% positive person selling their seed unit. This is an actual production unit from an actual seller. The "will ship in 21 days" is the kicker, but better than the other auctions we've seen as of late.

Oh, and Mods, can you correct my spelling mistake in the thread title so I don't feel like a tard. Thanks!

Okay, I think I read something that TMO's 3G when it does come out is a frequency that the Bold doesnt cover right now - is that true? I am interested in getting one when they are available, but if it wont work on tmos 3g when it is available then whats the point?

I thought "Vapor Ads and Scalping" was against the bussiness ethics and good bussiness policies of ebay-
Vapor Ads= thats where you boil water and the only thing that comes out is "Steam" Delivery 5 to 15 days, that doesnt even fall within the guidelines of a potential "They gotem scheme" Isnt it illegal to sell something if you dont have it, or you cant deliver it?

I have a better question, Why does it seem that the Europeans get the better technology first before they consider us poor Americans?
