Latest Beta 4.5.0.?

I was just wondering what the latest beta version of 4.5 was?

4.5.0.37

Available for the 8310, 8320 & 8800

I am putting the .37 on my 8310 right now. I am hoping it helps out with the signal drops. That was the only problem I had with the .18 version. I haven't read any reports on the newest one but I figure I would give it a try.

chrisb3 05-22-2008 09:24 AM

.37 for the 8800 seems more stable so far. We'll see what happens after I start to put it through its paces.

It appears that the mail sync error has been fixed. I deleted messages from my BB using 'Mailbox & Handheld' and it appears that they got deleted from the mailbox.

Just to let you know, I installed 4.5.0.37 on my 8320 on the TMO network, and I lost the ability to connect to UMA and was not able to view HTML emails using empower, so I went back to 4.5.0.18 as these two features are critical for me. However, foe the short period the 37 was loaded the device seemed to have more memory. Thats about the only difference I noticed between 18 and 37.

Sparkomatic 05-22-2008 09:57 AM

I put .37 on my at&t 8310 yesterday and all is good so far. The signal isn't dropping and the memory leak seems better. I also noticed that empower email didn't work but not a big deal for me.

By the way, the name of this forum is hilarious!

Will we get the .37 for the 8300 at all?

chrisb3 05-22-2008 12:53 PM

I'm sure it will surface at some point. I've only seen .37 for the 8310, 8320 & 8800.

Like GT5L - I installed .37 on my T-Mobile 8320 - it won't let me connect to UMA - it constantly tries to connect - but comes up with the W006.8 error.

Does anyone have UMA working???

Surfish 05-22-2008 04:50 PM

another reason yet again to wait.

No luck here either, I've tried virtually everything.

;-)

...and coming soon, OS 5.0.0 (currently at apps version 5.0.0.20).

Wirelessly posted

Installed .37 on my 8310 lastnight and I've been playing with it all day. Everything works suprisingly well for a beta release. The only problem I see is how flaky the browser acts when it comes to textbox in forums. Sometimes it would put the cursor on the spot other times I'd have to reload the page to activate the cursor.

just installed .37 on 8800, so far, browser seems faster, youtube works....everything seems to work fine...havent made any calls yet but that is next

Na, I'm back to 4.2, . 18 has been pretty unstable for me, reception keeps dropping.

Is this referring to RIM released or "available"? If it is the former, I have .37 on my curve, which was obtained from RIM directly.
