Issues with wired activation on BES 3.6X

As a preliminary matter, I need to state that I am not the admin of the BES, and the company will not upgrade to a newer version :(

We are running BES 3.6X (whatever the highest version of 3.6 is that you don't have to pay for the upgrades) and accordingly, all handsets have to be activated via cable.

I previously had everything working on my 8310, but I switched to an 8820 for a while (worked fine there) then back to the original 8310... and now I have problems.

When I connect to DM, it only puts the CICAL and CMIME service books on the device (not all the others like it used to when properly activated) and the userid is my email address (whereas before it was a series of numbers and letters).

The admin has deleted and re-added me to the BES. I have deleted all my Outlook profiles and created fresh ones with different names.

I have tried using dbclean (sent to me by RIM last year when I had similar problems) to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled DM 4.3, no luck. In fact, after the uninstall/reinstall, DM still somehow recognizes my old settings (and doesn't prompt me to generate a new key), and when I run dbclean it says nothing to delete! WTF!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) exmerge your mailbox to a PST file
2) create a new mailbox
3) add this newly created mailbox to the BES and activate it
4) perform a handheld wipe from your berry device
5) synch with a cable to the newly created mailbox
6) exmerge the PST to the new mailbox and rename the display names back the the original one.

OUCH!

Well hope it all works out.
