Can AT&T sim be used in an unlocked T-Mobile CURVE...benefits?
So my friend is with T Mobile, and has a CURVE. He doesn't have a data plan but he was able to get some sort of code for the phone that allows him to use wifi and it not cost extra money. I thought this might work with AT&T but after a few phone calls and a long wait I found out that At&T's deal with the maker of Blackberries is different and doesn't allow that. Does anybody know about this?
Anyways I was wondering if I, an AT&T customer, were to get an unlocked TMobile Curve, could I use wifi without an extra cost? THANKS |

Thats not entirely true. I have not tested the newest blackberries. However, I have noticed that some, SOME, GSM devices from overseas allow an IP address to be entered and other settings to be adjusted so that you can use Cingulars WAP. However, time has passed and I am sure things are different now.
It might be worth a minute to check it out. Good luck Gecko |
Wifi will work. UMA will not.
