**At Last, Today+ Theme for the 83xx**

BBeXtras - BlackBerry Themes & Wallpapers

It works, it's wonderful (beautiful) and it's worth the it!!!!

Sparkomatic 11-01-2007 01:14 PM

It's great! Just an average users opinion..$10 seems kinda high for a theme to me. $5 and I'd go for it.

I'm definitely not trying to bash you or your work...just giving an opinion.

gibber9583 11-01-2007 01:25 PM

Is the template for Today+ available?

$10 is nothing for the work that went into this!!

It works fantastically!!

You want it (like I did) you pay for it;!!

;-)

'need' it enough to pay out that much?

Hat's off to the user who developed this- and the mac themes. (y)

Yes, I may also "want" the Today Plus theme for my 8320.
But, do I actually "NEED" it? That's the question. :-?

I am quite a bit saddened that RIM brought it out -eons ago- for only ONE
of their best-selling models.
I'm sure by now RIM knows how much users really appreciate the theme.
Also that a significant number have been 'clamoring' for it for quite a while
for other BB models too- here and on other forums.

But, still hasn't deemed it significant/appropriate enough to introduce
it as OE for its 'needy' users. :-( :-(

For the number of themes I play around with regularly, I would end up
spending a small fortune if I pay for each one. ;-)

Nice post!!

Although, you won't need to change themes once you have this one!! ;-)

I think I'll buck up and pay for this. I loved this theme on the Pearl. I'm sure someone will come along and make a free version but since I have unlocked vendor themes and downloaded free themes from other sources this one time won't be a big deal to spend a bit on a theme. What the hell? Heh.

I wanted it because it's the nicest theme, imho!!

HAHAHA! I told you guys the Mac T-Mobile uncompiled ripoff wasn't going to be free.

If you look closely to the screenshots of this new Today + , you can see that it has the same fonts and font colors as the regular Today Theme, not the same as the original Today + theme. This is a poor try, IMHO.
With all the new Themes out, including bPhone that never existed before, why would someone want to pay money for what in my opinion is an inferior product compared to the original?

So? Why does that make it inferior? Find another one for the 83xx that's better.

The User PerfectStorm is the developer. How he did this...I have no idea, since that template is not yet available by Plazmic.

Nice job with the theme...milk that $10 price.

I'm not above admiting when I'm wrong. I was too harsh when I said it was inferior. The developer did a good job, it's just not what I've been waiting for as I was waiting for a duplicate of the original and this isn't quite that. As I mentioned, while waiting for the new Today+ theme, I discovered, out of the many new themes available, one that I thought IMHO was better. I am a bPhone convert as I think it is the best theme I have found.
Although it is free; but donations are well deserved, that isn't what is so great about it.
bPhone and the new Today+ theme are both worth paying for.

Cyclops 11-01-2007 06:28 PM

I say, hats off to the developer, good job (y)

I do wonder if the L theme and the Today+ theme will be included in the 4.3 OS upgrade when it is released, I love the Today+ theme, but I think I'll wait for the 4.3 OS first to see what's included.

Sparkomatic 11-01-2007 07:06 PM

I actually like it better than the OEM Today+ theme. I like how the fonts and style is like the Zen theme. The fonts on the T-Mobile Today+ theme...I never cared for 'em.

It's been a bit of a disappointment that BB hasn't released themes like they did for the Pearl and 8700 series. Every once in awhile I log into their site hoping for new themes but kudos to all who have developed these awesome ones to choose from!

If you want to charge $10 bucks...go for it! If I had the time, patience, skills, etc to create this theme, I'd probably charge $10 too! I was tempted to get it today but agree with graphreak, I don't "need" it. And, no, I'm not just looking for *free* themes for all those who think I am :) I donated to the bphone theme when downloading that one.

I know...I'll spend $500 for a blackberry but not $10 for a theme?? Yeah, I'm a sick-o...

melodic 11-01-2007 10:33 PM

Font's are the same as Dimension Today. Homescreen fonts cannot be changed in any theme
