4.6.0.190 in the wild

Any feedback yet?

TTune 11-11-2008 02:30 AM

Bold OS 190 out there for picking in the wild.

I suppose I should start this thread with "Who has it!?" ...

About 93mb in size - fast download. Installing now.

gorip96 11-11-2008 04:12 AM

seems quite stable so far after 5 hours using this version

I started out with quite a bit more free memory, as well. After a reboot I started with 47mb free. That's new and nice.

Petons 11-11-2008 04:33 AM

Anything else new?

Media section seems fresher and "shinier". Not sure how else to describe it.

The IM folder came back as did "wireless upgrade". 3G stays locked much tighter on a local roaming network whereas before I was getting the occasional red SOS in the signal strength area.

Altadr 11-11-2008 07:13 AM

3G much stronger
Browser and Wifi roars compared to the US version .167 and still a noticable improvement over .168

So far no glitches when viewing or browsing media

One thing seems to be with mine is browsing chewing through battery life but i havn't really given it long enough to compare yet

JSanders 11-11-2008 07:31 AM

**two threads merged**

using it here and no real differences. I have been told .190 made the 3G seem stronger by another user, snappier, shinier and YES, whiter teeth!

for u to get batt life back to normal.....after u install the os, u should pull the batt out for 5 minutes and put back....

with 167, my batt seemed shorter than 162 and i did the pull and now it is very normal....

i have not tried 190 but try what i suggested...

Does it fix the BBM weblink issue?
ie: can you click a url sent to you via BBM?

Sith_Apprentice 11-11-2008 09:08 AM

it also seperates the password from the security options under options.

JSanders 11-11-2008 09:09 AM

Mark, no that is not fixed, BBM hotlinks.

Sith, that separated in .168, the last I used before this release.

serrano_yejo 11-11-2008 10:21 AM

Is it worth it to upgrade from .167 that came with ATT BOLD?

JSanders 11-11-2008 10:31 AM

If you are having issues with anything, yes. For instance some users have reported 3G was hard to hold onto with .167

Horizon Wireless 11-11-2008 10:34 AM

I love this one. I hated .168 . Battery seems to drain a little faster, web browsing seems faster. But memory link and hotlinks in bbm are still a proble. Over all the best OS thus far. I love it

Cyberblade 11-11-2008 10:39 AM

Media Gallery is much faster and seems stable

Some corrections in german language

Weird. I don't have any problem clicking links in BBM with .190

TomN 11-11-2008 12:14 PM

I've been running it for a few hours and it seems to be a bit quicker than .168. Only problem I've noticed so far is that Windows Live Search doesn't want to work.

JSanders 11-11-2008 12:32 PM

Another user here told me they could not get WLS to work either.

DataCentre 11-11-2008 12:33 PM

Downloading now. Looking forward to the upgrade from .168. Having issues with everything mentioned.
