NO SERVICE help

Hello I am trying to get my bb8310 to work with Fido and all is well on their end. However, I cannot find any networks, it is an unlocked AT&T phone and noone seems to be able to tell me what settings on phone I need. The best help I had was from AT&T which was a 76 minute phone call. She had me master reset, update, power reset, pull the sim card, etc... Blackberry was no help at all, just flubbed me off to AT&T and Fido said I have to call blackberry to get settings changed as it is not a fido phone. Where I live has Tbaytel and they run off Rogers, same with fido, and yet no matter what I try I cannot connect. Oh yeah, brand new fido sim card yesterday and I have never used this phone and I have verified that it is unlocked. Please help.

Did this phone ever work for you before? The 8310 is a pretty old BlackBerry.

Doesn't Tbaytel only have an HSPA network? If you are actually on that network, you won't be able to use that device.

No I'm on Fido but it just doesnt seem to want to find any network. I got this phone from ebay (good seller too) I have no service books or HRT could that be a major issue?

Are you sure that it is unlocked?
Are you sure that your SIM card is compatible with the device?

Note that no Service Books or HRT is indicative of the device not being active on the BlackBerry Data services (meaning no data will work) but if the device is unlocked, hasn't been blocked and is compatible with your network, then voice and SMS should work.

When you go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card and type in MEPD, what does it read next to "Network"?
