BBM Meetings will be shut down beginning of 2016
 

Just heard from our Blackberry contact that BBM Meetings are dead.

That product just lived 15 months....

On the positive side, at least BlackBerry is trying things. If it doesn't work, give up on it and try something else.

Also, I gather it wasn't a BlackBerry product per se, but a partnership. I can imagine that internally, not for public knowledge, it was viewed as a trial with a decision point. It didn't work out. Oh well...... At least I hope that's all it is.

I'm hoping BlackBerry has the time and resources to keep trying things until it hits on revenue streams that keep BB10 handsets going. I'm not optimistic.

limiting or slowing down support including their forums will not be seen as a good direction. A lot of users normally go to a manufacturers web site for information including new products available. It does seem like they are trying to cut costs but support is a big mistake. A wiser move would to be to fire the leadership and save a lot of money. wont happen.
