Why do I have NO RECEPTION???
 

bought the phone unlocked sim free.
was originally a 'three' branded 9700

anyways, i slot my vodafone sim in, and it keeps going in and out of service, 98% of the time i have SOS.....

what can i do to sort this problem out? im so freaking mad. in the same location i used to have full bars and 3g constantly on my HTC HERO but now with my 9700 i have nothing.

is there any tests i can do to make sure its properly unlocked? :-(

Go to Options/Advanced Options/SIM Card
Type (in all upper case) MEPD (you won't see the letters as you type).

You will then see the SIM Card Security Screen. If the Network entry says 'Disabled' then your phone is unlocked... if it doesn't, it isn't.

i also seen a same set like this today have tried every thing what i can do but nothing good happen


first post mention that the set is already unlocked as he's getting the 2% of signal in a day
same as what i have

Just because the seller says it is unlocked is no indication that it IS unlocked.
