hold on a minute.

you're saying that you can connect to the net using your unlimited connection from tmobile...on your mac...with your blackberry 8320.

are you lying? is this some kind of dream i am having or what? :) seriously i might love you if this is true. lol

ohhh my 10-05-2008 10:22 PM

Holy crap. it DOES work and freaking pretty fast too.. I made sure my wifi on my laptop is off and the wifi on my phone is off so i know it is purely using the phone as a modem.. VERY NICE!!

This should work on all BB variants running OS 4.5.x, on any carrier that doesn't explicitly block tethering or otherwise mess with connections that appear to be tethering. In addition, you shouldn't have to use your phone number and password to successfully tether with T-Mobile USA - using 'guest' as the username and password should also work.

I cannot get this to work with my ISP Rogers.. it works over Bluetooth on a Bold using Leopard 10.5.5.. I cannot figure out why not.

I will be spending time to try this at home.
Thanks ggoodale!
