Restore old BES server
 

Hello! I would appreciate your assistance.
The problem/question is pretty simple.....
Bes Server in use and working properly. We would like to down that server (turn it off), restore an older backup of that server (say, 3 weeks old) to a new virtual server, and use that server instead of the original one.

What are the possible ramifications of this procedure?
Sorry for the lack of details. Both of the servers are/will be virtualized. It is the exact same server, minus a few activations and emails passing through it.
Will the Blackberry's attached to the system explode if we do this?
Would I have to re-activate all of the Blackberry's?
I understand users would have issues before they sync, but after they sync, would not they be back to the state they were in before the server was swapped out?
We, of course, would have to add back in the users who have been activated since the back we would like to restore.
Has anyone done this and know the pitfalls?
