BPS installation issue
 

Been trying to install this on my VMware test setup seeing as how my work is planning on going with it but the setup program crashes immediately.
Just wondered if this is a valid configuration:

Host machine W7 Ultimate
VMware W/S v7
W2003 server running AD
W2008 server running Exchange 2007

I notice in the guide posted by hdawg it does not mention W2008 server in the pre-req, only up to W2003.

Any issues for BB Professional Software with this version of windows?

I doubt it was ever intended to run on Windows 7. BPS has been discontinued by RIM and is no longer supported. This happened before Windows 7 came out so it is probably just not compatible. Additionally, VMware might be a problem. Lots of folks always considered this a flakey solution and felt it wasn't supported very well by RIM.

I have been running BPS on Windows XP on top of VMWare ESXi for over 18 months without issue. If you are committed to BPS on VMWare, that might be a way to go.
