What does the "hourglass" mean?
Hi... I don't know where else to post this question on internet... I was sending a text message on my Motorola, then when I clicked "send" the screen was blank and there was an hourglass for at least 5 seconds (sand counter), and there was an option to exit. After that delay, I checked sent messages and it said that the message was sent, but I never got a reply from the person. This is the first time an hourglass appears on my cell so I'm wondering what the reason could be and is it 100% that the message was sent, or could it have been an error? Thanks.

Check with the person that you sent the email to to see if they got it

The hourglass is just an indication of processing (like in Windows). If it stays on too long then it could mean that you're having a performance issue, either you have very little free memory or you have too many applications running. Normally removing unused/unwanted applications, closing some applications or a battery pull should clear up memory. |
It means the phone is thinking and is unsure about what to do next or what it's doing now. Like a person scratching his head. :)
