Can you set the IT Policy using the Blackberry Resource Kit

I am wondering if it is possible to set the IT Policy on a user by using the BBRK. If you are able to do this via a command line for example:

besuseradminclient.exe -u BBuser -b BBServer -it_policy "BBITPolicy " -SQLUSER User -SQLPASS Password -p besuseradminclientpassword.

If this is possible can someone post me the switch that will do this?

yes its possible ... the -it_policy string you have is correct ... do you have the besuseradmin service installed?

I have the besuseradminservice installed but I seem to be getting this error when I try to run this.

[09:16:10] BESUserAdmin::SYNTAX - Argument value required

can you list the entire switch you are using that works so I can compare it to mine

Here's the string I just used:

C:\brk\besuseradminclient.exe -add -u Tester3 -b TestServer2 -p frEd@h0me -w willy -it_policy Monkey

I am wanting to change the IT Policy for a user that is already on the BES server. So I am not wanting to add a new user to the BES is this possible and if so would I just remove the -add switch? What is the -w is that the wireless password?

I think I found it, I think I need to use the -change command for an existing user on the bes server. Thanks

-w is activation password

remove the -add and use -change
