Problems using Desktop v 5 / Roxio Software: File Transfer from Device to Media

Unless I need the Media Software to transfer files from Device. Doesn't it make sense for me to uninstall the Roxio & Media Sync files or will it create more problems in future?

Roxio Software (BlackBerry Desktop v 5)
I understand the need for Roxio software when locating & transferring files from device only; but I don't like it as it won't transfer the folders I created too.

When I transferred Pic Folders to Media Card it also didn't take the folders too. It left all pics together without folders.

Before Roxio was installed, it was easier to transfer Pic / Music Folders to & from media card using Phone as a Portable Storage Device. Now since I loaded the Media software onto computer it makes it more difficult.
