Re: 9800 Torch - 6.0.0.526 leaked.

good luck mate. I had to dawngrade back to .486 cause i has having touchscreen issues again like with .448 but NOT with .450 or .486. Plus, i have no proof, but i swear to The G.O.D. that it's an over all slower OS. Everything is running slightly slower than .486. By about a half a sconcd everything is slower and the main place i noticed it was in sms threaded convos. It the new OS you have to wait for an individual convo to open. it's crazy. Emails are slower and twitter, an app i use a thousand times a day takes about a second to launch whereas with .486, takes half a second. I timed it cause i wasn't sure if i was loosing my mind or like what. #notwinning.

Re: 9800 Torch - 6.0.0.526 leaked.

Just installed...

One nice fix, that was pretty irritating:

Until the previous release, you could not copy information from a contact unless you went into edit mode.

So if I wanted to give someone a phone number via BBM or email of a contact, I had to go into the contact, get into edit mode to be able to copy and paste it.

Now we're back to the usual mode, you can copy information from a contact and paste it in another application, without having to "edit" the contact.

One issue: The battery charging signal is working sporadically (I am sure the battery is charging, but the signal is sometimes on sometimes off) -- A battery pull did not resolve.

I have not witnessed any other fixes or enhancements or issues, yet.

I have been this running this version for a full day. Battery life so far is great, noticeably better for me anyways. I haven't noticed the battery charging signal issue.

Why would all the links be down?

Copyrighted materials and RIM catches up with the site and asks them to take them down?

I have the same dancing battery charging signal issues but it still charges. Also when downloading an attachment through email I have to reselect the file to actually open the file...kinda annoying but not a deal breaker.

Have same issue with attachments, but as you said, not a deal breaker. Do not have dancing battery icon, and all else seems quite stable and responsive, all apps loaded fine and working.

Does this upgrade like previous delete one's created Homescreen Folders and Browser links within Homescreen folders (as I found last with .450 -- not cool!)? Or does anyone otherwise know how to prevent an upgrade from deleting all that?

Re: 9800 Torch - 6.0.0.526 leaked.

6.0.0.526 OS is my #1 choice between the last two leaks...

OS.526
1.excellent battery life!
2.very low memory leakage
3.very little or no lag when navigating the device(no spinning icon)
4.I am now able to run my LNS news & weather apps(would not install on previous OS's) thats a plus for me!
5.problem with browser, clear browsing data option I uncheck passwords and save, when I exit...the box stays checked...I like to use igoogle as my home page with my stocks and news other info..now I have to log in everytime! anyone else have this problem?
5.camera focus much improved, true color balance, very much improved!
