Problem using hotspot browser
I recently got a Blackberry Curve 9300 and one of the main reasons I switched to BB is so that I can get emails and surf the web using Wi-Fi, so I opted out of the data plan. I don't know if this is affecting my problem or not, I don't think it should.
My problem is that although I am successfully connected to the Wi-Fi, at home and school, when I try to access the hotspot browser (not the web2go one) this message pops up: "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." Any help would be much appreciated! |
My experience has been that without a data plan, the Blackberry doesn't have much in terms of functionality...at least as far as the internet etc. goes. The cell providers make it difficult to do much without a data plan. Check out this FAQ for more details on what you can and can't do. Wish I had better news :(
