Then your device will not work properly. You need to contact your provider and get a BlackBerry-specific data plan.

It's not difficult. What carrier name is shown at the top of your screen? Phone that carrier and get the correct BlackBerry plan added.

What is difficult is reading your posts, so if you don't stop abbreviating, I'm going to stop helping. Type your words out.

He knows who his carrier is. In his OP, he states that contacting them is difficult. He asked if there was another way to get a data plan without asking his provider.

Fair enough, but it's not difficult to contact a carrier, not even in Pakistan.

For the record though, I have yet to see a post with his carrier. If he'd shared that information, I could help with the contact information.

Well, if he got the device from his brother, then wouldn't the unit be locked? Maybe the OP means he cannot contact the UK carrier?

I honestly don't know, but it doesn't sound locked. His posts are extremely hard to understand, and we don't know what's working and what isn't. Perhaps he is confusing the UK carrier from whence the device was purchased with the carrier who provides his SIM card. Oh well. I don't think there is a whole heck of a lot more help we can give him.

Now you people will read my texts easily and understand. the problem with my phone is that my app world world,bbm nothing is working except browse.and abt data plan I will contact my bro to get data plans because for ths he shud remember from where he purchase.and my sim is prepaid and I contact franchise and they said I have to convert it in pospaid then I wil get data plans.and its not difficult in pakistan to get data plans or help but I just visited ur website so I thought to get help from u.and u people should help me dispite of getting angry I did mistake because I write short messeges and u people can't understand

Again, the purchase location of the device doesn't matter. What matters is who provides your service. Convert to postpaid, get the correct plan, and your device will work. It's as simple as that.
