BlackBerry Manager on a remote machine

Hi everyone,

I want to access the BlackBerry manager, which is on a seperate segment of our network. By default the SQL database listens on port 1433. But I am unable to connect to it, I even tried telnetting the server on that port with no luck.

We are using BES 4.1 with Notes 6.5. Are we missing anything here?

I need a quick response to this, if possible!

Thank you guys!

Try doing ODBCAD32 in a run line from the client machine and creating a DSN to point to the database. At the end of the creation wizard you should have the option to test data source - does that work? can you even ping the SQL server?

Yes, thanks!

That is one thing I missed. It's working fine now! It was a firewall issue.

Cheers!
