Best bet is try searching Smartphone Software and Smartphone Accessories - MobiHand Store. See what they have and what you like.

i was really hoping for something free... any ideas?

Honestly dictionary.com is your best bet then even though you said no link. Loading it on your phone browser automatically brings up the mobile version. Just book mark it for quick reference. It loads fairly quick too.

I don't think that you will find a 'free' dictionary program out there. Most dictionaries are copyrighted works. You may also wish to consider the mobile version of wikipedia as well.

Beik

BEIKS has a free trial version. Price of the real thing is ~$15.00

Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Beiks Dictionary application:

BlackBerry dictionaries, phrase books and other language and reference solutions by BEIKS

I've been using their various products for the past 3 years and I would not recommend anything else.

You can reach them at the above link or for questions at [email address].

Bobby Kolev and George Zashev are great to work with.

I tried BEIKS and had some problems with it (on my 8830) and didn't follow up with it myself, so it obviously works well. One thing I liked was being able to put the actual data on the SD Card and have only the app load on the phone itself.

One of my 8830 users was having a problem with the dictionary files on a microSD card and Beiks walked me through fixing it. They re-wrote the code, sent it to me and immediately updated their site with it. Good people.

Thanks for the nice words.

I also want to make it clear that we do have a Storm compatible version of the BEIKS Dictionary Reader.

If you can't find it just contact our support and let them know you're having an issue finding it.
