Blackberry Thunder to launch Q3
BlackBerry Thunder, the touchscreen BlackBerry wexxx8217;ve all been waiting for | The Boy Genius Report
Interesting that it's a Verizon exclusive. Personally I would never take a total touchscreen device over a keyboard, but I know some wanted this. |
Interesting...

Lifetime exclusive with Verizon? Instant failure. Verizon will lock down this device so hard that any cool or innovative feature will either be disabled, or charged a premium for.
I personally hate carrier exclusives. All they do is make certain carriers money and does no service what so ever to the consuming public. I guess RIM really is trying to be more like Apple. |

I would get one just to play with but the Verizon exclusivity is a deal killer for me. Oh well.

Just a quick word here - let the Verizon thing go and stay on topic.
This doesn't need to get into a flame war. |
Regardless if Verizon has locked down features such as GPS in the past. A lot of their customers complain that they have to wait for new devices after they've been out on other carriers for a while. This is a step in the right direction for them. This should please a lot of their customers.
Personally, I need a full QWERTY keyboard. I don't care much for touch devices. However, everyone is different. Let's all hope this is successful so we see more devices launched with Verizon. |

Touch screen is cool, but they should have kept the keyboard with it.

I don't understand the allure of a BB without a keyboard. ONe of the reasons I'm probably switching back to the 9000 after owning an iPhone for most of the year is I miss having a physical keyboard (and my email PUSHed.)

Verizon?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I think it looks a bit like an HTC TyTN... |
