PGP Support Package for Blackberry

Hi guys,

firstly I'd just like to say sorry if this question has been answered already.

I have a client that has been sold the following products as they want to use PGP to encrypt some of their emails to their clients:

SYMC PGP DESKTOP EMAIL 10.2 XPLAT PER
USER BNDL STD LIC EXPRESS BAND A BASIC
12 MONTHS

SYMC PGP DESKTOP EMAIL 10.2 XPLAT PER
USER I/O BASIC 12 MONTHS

SYMC PGP SUPPORT PACKAGE FOR
BLACKBERRY R1 PER DEVICE BNDL STD LIC
EXPRESS BAND S BASIC LITE 12 MONTHS

SYMC PGP SUPPORT PACKAGE FOR
BLACKBERRY R1 PER DEVICE I/O BASIC LITE
12 MONTHS

They were advised, this is what they needed (by a colleague and Symantec) to run PGP for their Outlook clients and Blackberry's.

They have a mixture of 9900's and 9360's connected to BES Express 5.0.1.

The Outlook client functions as it should but they want the software to work on their devices, why shouldn't they, they have purchased what they told they would need.

However, my colleague before me, and now myself cannot find the PGP Blackberry Support Package anywhere. Not on RIM, Not on the Carrier's site and not on Symantec's site.

Each Blackberry is running the latest version of the os (Think its a version of 7).

Where can I find this software?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Perhaps you or your customer should contact the company or person that sold the packages you list below and ask where to get the device software.

Sorry, not being rude here but I have already stated that in the post

Thanks for that information.
Have tried that. Have updated to latest OS 7.1 Bundle 1133 (v7.1.0.336, Platform 9.6.0.51) and upgraded Blackberry Desktop Software v 7.0.0.59 (Bundle 60) for the Blackberry 9360's.

The only available option is for S/Mime and the carrier (O2) only has the S/Mime installer package.

Right but you didn't state that you had asked where to get the device software. ;-)

It sounds to me like you need to first install the Blackberry support package for PGP onto the computer, then the Desktop package will let you install it onto the BlackBerry. If you cannot find it on the Symantec site, I suggest that you get a copy of the paid invoice available and contact customer support at Symantec. I know it is rather difficult to get through to an actual humanoid unless you have an on-going, large contract, but you will have to persevere and have evidence documenting that you have paid. Symantec is your source for this, not RIM or O2.

Thank you all for your replies.
I will try Symantec again.

Re: PGP Support Package for Blackberry

After speaking to Symantec technical support, they transferred me to Symantec customer support, who then transferred back to tech support then finally back to customer support, they sent me a link to blackberry's download site as the file is no longer available to download from their site.
45minute phone call and have the software.

Thank you for that update; I'm glad you got the software (finally).

It sounds as if Symantec might be abandoning their active support of PGP for the Blackberry. Frankly, as a PGP desktop user I was not at all happy when PGP was acquired by Symantec.
