OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
I have searched but haven't found the solution to my problem. Once I got onto OS6 with my 9700, I have had problems with the calendar only updating from my outlook to the BB but not in reverse. I have had this problem with the 3 or 4 different versions of OS6 that I have tried.
Emails work fine. Tasks work fine. Contacts work fine. Wireless Sync is checked in the calendar options list. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks in advance. Bold 2 9700 BES OS 6.0 v6.0.0.480 Thanks, Mark |

Moved to a more appropriate section.
Please update your profile to reflect your current device. Your profile says you have an 8900. Have you spoken with your BES Admin concerning the problem? |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Which BES version? Which MAPI/CDO version?
|
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Updated my profile. We only have 5 of us on BB's in our company so we use BESX and our IT guy doesn't know much about Blackberry so he and I kinda stumble through it together and as such I don't have an admin I can go talk to about this problem. I believe we are on the first version of BESX which is 5.0. As for MAPI/CDO, I do not know what version.
Thanks in advance for any advise you can offer. |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Do only you have that problem and the other 4 Blackberry users are fine? If so, just do an Enterprise Activation on your device.
Also, install the latest MAPI/CDO on BES: Download details: Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
I know we had to update the MAPI when we upgraded to Exchange 2010 about 2 - 3 months ago.
Now that I think about it though, I think we started having issues around that same time. Is there something specific to Exchange 2010 that would cause this issue? I also looked up the BESX version we have it is 5.02 Bundle 14 Thanks, |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
I have done a quick poll and it would appear that all 5 of us are having this issue with the calendar only updating one way.

though I have noticed this for a while as well; but we're on some new kind of level issues that I don't even understand, hehe. That's for the BES admin going nuts with RIM. |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Check the MAGT log on the BES server for any errors regarding calendar sync and post them here.
Have you done an Enterprise Activation since the move to Exchange 2010? Try it, if nothing else helps. |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
I have done enterprise activations since moving to 2010. I have done them each time I have upgraded my phone.
I did pull an MGAT log from yesterday and this section below is repeated many times though out the log. I am not really sure what I am looking for, so, if this doesn't help, any ideas of what to query in the log file would be great. Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Could this be a possible solution to my problems with exchange 2010?

Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
Can you run IEMSTest for that user and post the output here?

Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
The "No Send As permission" line is probably the issue. Have you checked the needed permissions for your BESAdmin account?
If the permissions are ok, try to re-create the MAPI profile. |
Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
I realized that I had not run this under the BESADMIN account. I reran the IEMSTest and below is the results.
I don't believe that the permisssions for the BESADMIN account has changed since this used to work. Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Try to re-create the MAPI profile:

Re: OS6 Calendar only updating 1 way...on BES
IT went back and found that indeed permissions were not set properly and once they were set everything is now back working again. Thanks so much for your help.
