I can hear my voice when on a call

Got a Curve 9300, but also had this issue with my previous Blackberry.

When on a call, the callers voice is perfectly clear. However, I can hear my voice through my earpiece, but is sounds distorted, like the earpiece is faulty, which it is not as I can hear the caller perfectly well. Could also describe it as a tinny / buzzing kind of noise, but only in time with when I am talking.

Assuming this is a software issue of some kind.

Anyone had this, or knows how to resolve it?

Loathed to take it in for repair as Phones 4 U took 8 months last time (hence the upgrade from old curve 9300 as they stop doing the old one!!)

Cheers.

Have you tried it with a different earpiece? does it work fine without using any attachments i.e just the handset on its own?

It could be speaker problem, your loudspeaker and probably just signal problems.

The problem is with the earpiece on the actual phone itself. Works fine on the loudspeaker and using handsfree in the car. May call to see if they will do a straight replacement, otherwise getting an upgrade at end of jan, not too far away. What can possibly be a better phone to ask for at upgrade time, other than the iphone4? Had nothing but trouble with 5 curves in a year!!

I have ever come across this situattion. What I normally do is to dial the number again. That is OK! Maybe you can have a try.

Used the phone this morning xxx8211; even while dialing before the connection is made, my voice is heard through the phones earpiece.

I am assuming that there must be an option / setting or something like that to disable voice from the user coming through to the earpiece while making a call.

Or, have I got a duff phone?

The earpiece is the one in the phone - other earpieces are ok.

Managed to get a brand new replacement - just waiting for a screen protector to get sent to me, then ready to use the phone again. Currently using a Sony W810i - Retro!!
