Bluetooth transfer of contacts skips ones without phone #s
 

I'm trying to transfer all my contacts via Bluetooth from my BB curve 9360 to my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (Android kitkat). When I try it, only the contacts with phone numbers are transferred. E.g., it skips all my contacts that have only a street address.

As a last resort, I could go through my BB contacts one by one to see which are lacking phone number and then transfer those contacts one by one, but that would take a long time.

Any suggestions that *don't* involve learning a non-Bluetooth method or downloading an app?

If not, I'm open to any suggestions as long as they will transfer my contacts that don't have phone numbers.

Information on transferring contacts such as the method used to move information to other devices all indicate the other device must accept the information and "fit" into the new method. It may be not seeing the contacts without the phone number because the new phone does not understand how to sequence the information without a phone number.
You might try adding a single number in each contact without one.

Thanks, tsac. Your idea would work, but it would take about as much work as the "last resort" I mentioned in my original post. Either way, I would have to go through my contacts one-by-one, see which ones lacked phone numbers, and take some action on each such contact (whether adding a single digit and then transferring all the contacts, or just transferring the contacts one by one without adding a digit). Hope that makes sense.

You're probably right that the new phone isn't seeing the contact's info the same way as the old phone.

I did some additional checking and a lot of contacts in most new phone use the phone number to "sort" the information into the base. It may be they never expect people to have non phone number contacts but like the BB , I'm sure a lot do.
They all want to be the information source for people and should realize the need.
