Blackberry 8320 ...no "compose messages"

Hi

As in title, my BB has thoughtfully deleted most of my messges and also the "compose message" icon, so all my contacts have disappeared.

Is there a way of reversing this?

Soft reset?

Other?

TIA

David

More details are needed.

Have you done a battery pull? Resent your Service Books?

What changes did you make to the device before this happened?

Sorry, yes.

I'm on talk talk essentials payg, no bis plan, it's just used for texting and occassional calls.

Not sure what a battery pull is? The battery HAD run down. When I recharged....got this.

"Resent your Service Books?" ....not sure of that either.

I'd just done an sync with the comp (whislt charging). I ve done it before without ill effects!

You need to be signed up for the BIS service, which is what sends you the proper Service Books to get that functionality.
