CDO.DLL woes...
 

Once I add a calendar event on the blackberry, it does not appear in Exchange 2003. I looked at the logs and it shows that basically cdo.dll is not in memory, tries to load it, spits a bunch of errors, retries, and spits a bunch of errors and fails. (I'll post the log once I get into the office). Any ideas?

Before I installed BES, I registered the cdo.dll from Exchange 2003 SP 2. I just verified that the version is sufficient for BES (per the Installation Guide). Is there something else I am supposed to do?

You copy the CDO.DLL from the Exchange server and save it in the BES Server.

Before this you do a unregister of the CDO.DLL on the BES Server

After the files is pasted to a DLL registern on the BES... Do a restart of the BES..... and see if that helps....

did you install ESM or did you just put CDO.DLL on the server and register it?

I had ESM installed but then still u unregister and Reregister with the copy of DLL in Exchange and u will be able to resolve...

Did you setup the documented permissions for your BlackBerry Service account? Make sure your service account is not an Exchange Full Administrator (or inheriting this role from Domain Admins or Enterprise Admins, etc).

Would not use CDO & MAPI from Ex2k3 SP2, would only suggest using the ones from SP1.

Well, the order I did it was I installed Exchange, then SP2, then registered the DLL, then I installed BES. Thanks for a lot of great ideas. I will try them today and get back to you guys.

In addition to KB-00886 you should check the BESAdmin group membership as T-Roy suggested.

Thanks elvis2k5, T-Roy, and BBTechGuy.. It looks like a Permissions issue that was easily resolved. I appreciate all the help!
