How long is the delay?

I get my yahoo mail almost instantly on my BB (using tmobile). At most, there is a 1 minute or 2 delay.

Do you really need it in real time?

well, if 1-2 min hurts you a lot then you should switch to be at home and check on you computer then......maybe switching to Verizon would help??? lolz

In order to get real time delivery of Yahoo you need to have a BIS 2.1 account - unless your carrier is Cingular since they do not allow realtime delivery of Yahoo!

Here's my experience. 8700g with TMO.

I'd forgotten my password here. So I did the song and dance on my laptop. Then BB Forums page loaded to say it has sent an email to my gmail account with the new password. My BB vibrated before it even showed up on Gmail via my laptop. I'm talking less than 30 seconds.

Well actually before the BIS 2.1 rollout, my 8700g with t-mo received yahoo mail instantly. After the "upgrade", I get gmail instantly and I'll get yahoo email forwarded maybe twice a day to my bb. I've reset the acct and all of that, and still getting delay.

Yahoo mail comes just as quickly as gmail on my TMO 8700g.
