2nd new unit???? battery issue.......

hi,
i'm kinda at my wits end.....a couple of weeks ago i exchanged my new 8700g for a new one as it wasn't holding battery charge, not getting me through a whole day without radio turning itself of because of low charge.

tried everthing......battery preserving tips on this forum, battery conditioning, pulling the battery etc etc.....

anyway got it exchanged and new unit worked brilliantly.....for about two weeks until yesterday.
haven't changed any settings or changed usage (which is light by the way) yet the battery drops to 45% by midday after being fully charged in the morning.....going down quickly to 25% midafternoon and threatening to tun off radio by 5pm......

just called tmobile and they will possibly exchange although i'm outside their 28 no quibble exchange period from my first unit.....

is this a known issue?

what would you guys do?
i luuurve the bb8700g and wouldn't want anything else.....
advice appreciated!

Do you have any 3rd party apps installed such as BBToday? Some of these apps can really suck battery life out of the unit (depending on the settings for the app). The same thing happened to me, I uninstalled BBToday and my battery life went back to normal.

Do you use Blue Tooth a lot?

no bluetooth at all....that was the first thing i looked at.....it is disabled on my unit!

also no thirrd party apps.....apart from a game from magmic i guess but the trial has run out so i'm not using it.....thas it!

i'm baffled......

will probably go and hopefully they will exchange it for me a second time.......
