Blackberry 7100t - PDF attachments always empty
 

I am new to the blackberry world and have a problem. Everytime that I go to open any pdf attachment the best case scenario I have is that I get a message saying that the attachment is empty.

Any ideas?

I have tried with all kinds of pdf files.

From what I understand pdfs that are from a scanner will open as empty while pdf documents created with adobe or another compatible program will appear as readable

Any way to view scanned pdfs?
 

So is there any way to view scanned pdf images on my 7100t?

I don't think so, at least not on my 7230. It has to do with the programming in adobe i think, it is not an ocr.

I suspect a reasonable workaround is to save the file as a JPEG image, and view that image on the handheld. In other words -- no, can't be done directly, but there is a workaround if it's important to you, and you are willing to go hrough the necessary hoops.

I have a problem with all attachments. I hit retrieve and its says its recieving but nothing ever happens.?

On my 7100t I can view excel, word, pdf files, but I can't "view" images or sound. I can "view" images and sound from the browser. But if you look in the online help that came with the 7100t it says you can view them as attachments. Also i can seem to get the screen saver option on my 7100t, just the background.. Anybody having the same stuff?
