BB 8310 Micro SD help

Okay, so I lost the metal holder that goes over the Micro SD thing(Don't ask).

Is it possible to still use a Micro SD with my BB8310? The battery goes right over it, so I assume the battery should hold it in place.

Does the 8310 support MicroSDHC? I have a 4gb one, but it doesn't seem to recognize it on the BB software(Of course, this could be that I lost the metal holder. *facepalm*).
Also, is the only way to put music onto your Blackberry is by using the BB software to transfer the music?
Thanks to anyone that helps me.

I read someplace that someone used a business card to hold the SD in place. And it probably isn't recognizing the card because the contacts aren't held in the proper place with the clip missing.

Yeah, I think it might be slipping in one direction too much, so I'm using a small piece of paper to hold it. I'll see if it works.

EDIT: Nope. Gah. I guess I'm screwed then. =/

Well, what do you suppose the chance that the AT&T store would be able to replace it? It's a flimsy metal piece that comes out with ease, do you think they might have a demo phone that they could take it out of and give to me?

Probably slim to none.

And I'm guessing that if you try to replace the phone under warranty, this might be one of those items they claim is due to user misuse.

Stupid question. Figured it out.

Thanks.

Well, I actually found the metal piece.

However, is the only way to go about putting music and applications onto the blackberry by using the software?

I've been transferring music and pictures via the usb by choosing mass storage mode when plugging my BB into the pc. There is also an SD adapter card that you can put the microSD card into and then place that into card reader...
