Blackberry 9320..texts.

I have recent bought a BB 9320..
I have noticed some of my text(sms) conversations have disappeared..

Does this phone delete texts after a certain time?
Cheers.

All BB devices do that if they are starved for memory.

Some messages no longer appear on my smartphone - BlackBerry Curve 9310/9320 Smartphones - User Guide - BlackBerry Curve Series - 7.1

Not trying to be a smarta$$ but that's why they provide owners manuals. ;-)

I don't have a blackberry anymore but I believe there are other settings to set "number of days" to keep messages. But even if you set to "keep forever", if the device runs out of memory it dumps oldest. The alternative is filling up memory until the entire device crashes potentially causing loss of even more data.

Do you have a media card in the device?

Don't save them on the SIM card.

Note also that the Media Card doesn't have anything to do with it.

Where can I save them to then?
10 SMS messages is not a lot...

Im use to Nokia's where you can have hundreds and not affect the working of the phone...

You can have hundreds. You need to go to the settings page for your SMS and change them to store to phone instead of SIM.

Store SMS text messages on your SIM card - User Guide - BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone - 5.0

Follow this, but ensure it is set to "No".
