Found this out today.

Opera Mini 4 beta 2 released

jsconyers 08-30-2007 11:46 AM

good deal (y)

Spamdumpster 08-30-2007 11:47 AM

Apparently it adds some native blackberry support. This could be huge.

Dawg 08-30-2007 11:58 AM

I cant get it to load from the desktop it asks me do I want to downgrade

TheGreggers 08-30-2007 12:37 PM

Just do an OTA install, Dawg.

Hit your BlackBerry stock Browser, and go to http://mini.opera.com/beta

It will tell you that it cannot determine your phone, but just scroll down and download the High res version.

Should download and install just fine OTA.
I have 3.1 installed, and installed 4b2 fantastically.

Spamdumpster 08-30-2007 12:39 PM

I really wish they would add the ability to add text to fields directly on the web page without going to another screen. Otherwise, the app is fantastic.

iPhone users, watch out

Very, very slick. Plus with the secure connections support, I can access owana (Outlook on the Web) at my worksplace.(y)

there is no version update number? do i just replace 4.0 with 4.0?

Spamdumpster 08-30-2007 01:07 PM

There's supposed to be a landscape mode option, but I can't find it.

Anyone see where this is?

To be safe, uninstall the original Beta 1 first before you install beta 2

tjk1 08-30-2007 01:17 PM

is there a way to get the mouse scrolling (the box in zoom fit) to move faster?

harryzuluberries 08-30-2007 01:20 PM

Been using this for a moment now and love it. Love how it starts off in desktop view and you can then zoom in on specific portions of the page.....kind of "iphone-esque". Very slick interface.

use the number keys on your BB. 2, 4, 6, 8..up, left, right, down and fast!

I can't get the landscape feature to work as well.

tjk1 08-30-2007 01:23 PM

i read in the introduction that you can view in landscape, anyone figure that out?

this program seems awesome!

ezrunner 08-30-2007 01:51 PM

So far I seem to like it very much

alslsb 08-30-2007 01:58 PM

Landscape is not supported yet for Blackberry or Palm devices, per the Mini-Opera beta forum. The phones they are supported on report great success though. Hopefully we will get it when it goes live!!!

Opera Mini 4.2 Beta Has Been Released

I just installed Opera Mini 4.2 Beta and this version is MUCH better for Curve owners than previous Beta versions. The features actually work in this version and page rendering is quicker, for whatever reason.

I highly recommend giving it a go.

;-)

rqb,
I moved your post here....just to keep things organized and in one thread.

I couldn't download it desktop either and I don't have a browser to download it OTA... Downgrading OS lol

John Clark 08-30-2007 04:52 PM

You don't even get a Tzone's browser with the later software on the Curve?
