Whatsapp and BlackBerry Q10
 

Good afternoon.
I live in Italy and I have a BB Q10 since a few years andf I'm very happy to use it.
I have been told that from December 31st this device will not support Whatsapp anymore.
Is it true?
Is the company doing something to allow the Q10 to get this app?
I look forward to get an answer to this important question.

apparently they don't think older OS's are cost worthy for them to support.
They will support the latest Android which indicates to me any phone could be obsolete with their attitude.
It might be better to use a different app to do what you need. If they drop the amount of customers with out concern it looks like all they are doing is following a path to eventual destruction.

The full list of operating systems WhatsApp will stop supporting is:
Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
Blackberry OS 7 and earlier
Blackberry 10
Nokia S40
Nokia Symbian S60
Windows Phone 7.1

I would not use the app with that direction.

i guess it's just for the latest update. This means they wont give any support for these os on the latest version, you can still install the previous version (don't update to the latest one). or else you can sideload apk from Play store via choilieng.com

Sometimes an app wont work on a newer version of an OS so keeping the old version may still fail.

All they seem to be doing is pushing out requirements to keep the flow of information from users to Facebook for ad sales. Facebook does not develop apps for the different products without a reason and usually it's for their use or for info sale.
how many people do you think realize Facebook is using their information for marketing purposes.
