8100 & Desktop Synch failing
We use a BES for our global users and have them synch wirelessly. We do however have a handful of users that still like to synch manually even with the newer devices. One of our first pearl users in Canada (Rodgers Wireless) is able to activate fine via wireless but as soon as he goes to synch manually, the Desktop[CMIME] service book goes corrupt and is unable to send mail. I've taken every troubleshooting step we can come up with and nothing solves this long term.
Troubleshooting steps: Wipe/Reactivate Rebuild service books Reload OS/reactivate He also noticed the following: When it doesn’t work - the CMIME file content is different than when it works. Differences are: ...................Doesn’t Work....................................Works UID................................S2158545 User ID.........-1................................................. ...726 DSID............blank............................. ...................97a5c6 Any help that you guys can give so we can put this one to be will be MUCH appreciated! |
If his UID is set to his email address that means he has installed his desktop manager with the DESKTOP REDIRECTOR. Get him to uninstall desktop manager and choose redirection with BlackBerry Enterprise Server instead of Desktop Redirector. That should resolve the issue.
