8530 curve will not load.

I was sending some picture from my phone to email and during the last batch my phone just shut off. I took the battery out let it sit for about 5 minutes put it back in and the hour glass comes up then the phone goes to the load screen and after that the screen flashes and it just goes black. The light in the upper right corner just blinks occasionally. I'm guessing it's an OS problem but I'm not sure. Is there any way for me to fix this and if I can fix it is there any way to not lose everything on my phone?

If you haven't backed up your data, then you will most likely lose it. What is on the SD card, should be OK.

You could try a new battery, as the old one might be bad, especially if you have let it rundown past 20% more than a few times.

I assume there was no error code showing?

Probably the fix is to wipe with Jl_cmdr and then reload the OS.

Please do not double post. Your second thread was deleted.

Re: 8530 curve will not load.

Thanks for your reply dubdub. I decided to plug it in to see if maybe it was just that dead from all the pictures I sent (the battery was full when I started sending them but I sent like 40 pictures from when my daughter was born.) It started right up when I plugged it in, I guess the battery ran out that quick. I DO think my battery is bad though because my battery seems to go dead so fast every day and I don't hardly use my phone. I have actually let my battery run really low quite a few times. Thank god I didn't lose the rest of my pictures. I guess I'll be buying a new battery. Thanks again for the reply.

Do a backup now. Don't wait for something else to happen.
