7100 plug and play for rogers?
My next door nabour who is a stock analist in toronto says his boss is a Blackberry junkie. When he heard about the 7100 he ordered one from the states, installed his simm card from rogers and "bang" it came to life with no problems. Does anyone know if this can be done?
I am going to follow-up on this and get him to check out all the details from his boss. (its a shame i'm with Telus) |
This said boss is a liar :P
I have asked several people to put other SIM into their BB's and none of them worked.. their all locked. |
That would be a correct statement, unless it's from Cingular here in the states, but they don't have the 7100 :)

I don't know about BB's but after 3 months or so wih TMO, they'll unlock your phone for you. I did it with my SE T-610. I just told them I was going to spend a couple of months in Europe, and was going to use a european SIM.

Yea, in good standing you can. They do it for BB's too, but the 7100 hasn't been out long enough for t-mobile to start giving unlock codes. If this boss is on rogers, t-mobile wouldn't give him unlock codes anyway
