I found this case on eBay and it seems to be waterproof and functional! I have purchased one and will update you all. It is supposed to be here on Saturday. I can't post links cause I'm a noob. Here is the Item #280593256851.

I hope it works cause it's my early b-day present!!!

Well, it arrived today and works Great! Even took it to my neighbors and dropped it into the pool! My phone still works even after sitting on the bottom for a couple of minutes while I grabbed the skimmer.

I'm going to be very happy with this! Glad I could offer something to you all...

And you threw your real phone in water without second thought? does it say any kind of warranty for device if it takes bath?

Please let us know if the device gets hotter when air tight inside.

I didn't notice the phone being any hotter than normal... I filled the unit with water at home first to satisfy my curiosity... Then only dipped it in the pool and then went for it...

I think I would have tested with some weight wrapped in tissue.

But ditto on ziplok.

Just don't drop it on anything hard or overboard...

I'm pretty good. I passed down my old 8820 to my wife and she thought I gave her a new BlackBerry. Now after she's used it for a while it does look like a used one.

This is for those of you that want something more than a ziplock between you and the elements... I'm just sayin'...
